Trovro is a local-services marketplace operated by Om Kumbhar (sole proprietor), based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. It applies to the Trovro Android app and this website.
Professionals may upload a government ID to earn the Verified badge. These images are reviewed manually, are never shown to customers, are used only to confirm the person is real, and are permanently deleted as soon as a decision is made.
We do not store or publish Aadhaar numbers, and we never perform Aadhaar e-KYC. Uploading an ID is optional.
To create and secure your account, verify your email, match customers with professionals nearby, enable bookings, chat and ratings, build trust between users, answer your support requests, fix bugs, and comply with the law.
The other party in a booking sees only what they need to do the job — your name, photo, and (for customers) your service address. A professional's profile and reviews are public inside the app.
We use Supabase as our database, authentication and file-storage provider. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.
We never sell your data. We show no advertising and share nothing with data brokers.
We never touch your money — you pay the professional directly, and we take 0% commission. We will never ask you for a one-time code, your UPI PIN, or your Aadhaar number.
Data travels over HTTPS. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so there is no password to store or leak. Access to your records is enforced at the database level, so one user cannot read another's private data. Data may be stored on servers outside India.
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may access, correct and erase your data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act on your behalf, and raise a grievance. Most fields are editable directly in the app under Profile and Settings.
In the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and sign-in. Bookings and reviews that form part of another user's history are kept, dissociated from you where possible.

Trovro is strictly for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

As required by the Information Technology Rules, 2021, we acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
